Code of Practice translated into English
Recently the Code of Practice of the Regional Euthanasia Review Committees (RTE's) has been translated into English.
The Code outlines the issues that the committees regard as relevant in performing their statutory task, i.e. the review of notifications of termination of life on request and assisted suicide.
The Code of Practice is important above all for physicians performing euthanasia and independent physicians, but it also contains useful information for patients and other interested parties. The RTEs hope that it will also make a positive contribution to an informed public debate on freedom of choice at the end of life.
